Student student died the next day after J&J vaccination

A University of Cincinnati student died the day after receiving the Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine, according to health officials.

John Foley, 21, died unexpectedly on Sunday – a day after receiving a single dose, Hamilton County Lawyer Lakshmi Kode Sammarco told Fox 19.

The cause of Foley’s death is being investigated by the Ohio Department of Health and the coroner’s office.

Foley was found Sunday by his roommates. There is no evidence that his death is related to the Johnson & Johnson shooting – which was interrupted in the US this week due to blood clots.

Foley’s family issued a statement calling it “this wonderful and sweet joy of our lives.”

“Although the facts remain unclear as to how he died, we rejoice in the way he lived: caring for others, enlightened by God’s grace, and generous to all,” the statement said.

There is no evidence that John Foley's death was linked to the Johnson & Johnson shooting - which was interrupted in the US this week in connection with blood clots.

“We know that the doctors involved are doing their best. We must be patient and ask everyone else to be patient. John was going to be a doctor, so that’s what he wanted. ”

News of Foley’s death comes as a Mississippi man is left paralyzed and unable to speak after being shot by Johnson & Johnson.
