Strafford man charged with three murders in shooting death of husband and her parents

STRAFFORD, Mo. (KY3) – The Greene County Prosecutor has charged a Strafford man in a murder investigation with the shooting of his wife and her two parents on Saturday night.

Jesse Huy, 50, has been incarcerated in Greene County Jail for three times first-degree murder and three times for armed criminal action. He is being held without a bond.

According to the Greene County Sheriff’s Office, these allegations are the result of shooting three deaths in Huy’s home. The sheriff’s office says Huy is charged with the murder of his wife Tonya F. Huy, 48, of Strafford, and her two parents Ronald L. Koehler, 71, and Linda J. Koehler, 78, of Baton Rouge, Louisiana .

Investigators say Huy called authorities on Saturday night to report that he murdered three family members in his home.

Delegates arrived at a house located at block 4400 of North Farm Rd. 249 around 6:30 pm. When they arrived, they confirmed the deaths of three adults in the house. Huy was subsequently taken into custody without incident.

The exact cause of death from shootings is unknown. According to the court, Huy has no history of criminal charges in Missouri.

The Greene County Sheriff’s Office is handling the investigation. Additional details are limited, but we will update as more information becomes available.
