Stella Tennant killed herself after feeling “unable to continue”

Former supermodel Stella Tennant committed suicide because “she felt unable to continue,” according to her relatives.

The Scottish-born model’s family revealed details of her death on December 22 – just days after she turned 50 – after she was “humiliated by the outpouring of sympathy”, they told The Telegraph.

“Stella hasn’t been feeling well for a while. So, it is a matter of the deepest pain and despair she felt unable to continue, despite the love of those closest to her, “her family told the British newspaper in a statement.

“She was a beautiful soul, adored by close family and good friends, a sensitive and talented woman whose creativity, intelligence and humor touched so many,” the family said.

“Saddened by the loss of Stella, her family renews a heartfelt request for privacy to continue.”

Tennant, who comes from an aristocratic family, died just four months after breaking up with David Lasnet, her 21-year-old husband.

A source told The Telegraph that the family was speaking out because “they consider it important to raise awareness about mental health, because it is too often misunderstood.”
