Steelers coach cleanup indicates growth by HC Mike Tomlin

A constant for Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin during his tenure with the Steelers was an almost impossible level of stubbornness to change. Whether it’s at a low level in a game or more overall philosophical things, Tomlin has not historically been willing to adapt.

Instead, I sat at the press conference after the press conference, where Tomlin talks about execution and no big changes are needed. But it seems that everything is about to change.

There is a real possibility, based on recent events, the Steelers could replace up to six assistant coaches this season. Coming out of a 12-4 season might seem unusual. But when we think about how far this team has fallen in the last six games, including an explosive loss in the first round of the playoffs, we put the season in perspective, especially that 11-0 start.

Today’s announcement gives hope that Tomlin will grow as a coach. He finally acknowledges that it is time to attract this team today with new ideas and new concepts. A new perspective on the game that may not come soon enough.

However, it is also about self-preservation. Tomlin understands the last 10 years, his performance did not live up to the expectations of the fan base and this franchise. Tomlin has the opportunity to save and even build his legacy, and these moves will decide how Tomlin remembers.
