Steam makes the popular AAA game free for a very limited time

Deep Silver and 4A Steam Games have made a popular AAA game 100% free for a very short period of time. Specifically, from now until March 15, all Steam users can download one of the best games of 2010: Metro 2033, the first game of the three games Metro series. The latest version of Metro the series is Metro Exodus, which hit back in 2019 and there would be no one Metro exodus if Metro 2033 did not consolidate as a cult classic in 2010.

After 13:00 EST, on March 15, the game will return to its normal price. In addition, while the game is available on other platforms, only the PC version (via Steam) has been free, at least for now. On Steam, the game boasts a “Very Positive” user review score, with 92% of players positively evaluating the game in over 16,500 reviews.

“Located in the shattered subway of a post-apocalyptic Moscow, Metro 2033 is a story of intense underground survival in which the fate of mankind lies in your hands, “reads an official pitch of the game.” In 2013, the world was devastated by an apocalyptic event, annihilating almost all of humanity and turning the earth’s surface into a poisonous wilderness. A handful of survivors took refuge in the depths of Moscow’s underground, and human civilization entered a new Dark Age. The year is 2033. An entire generation was born and raised underground, and the subway station-their besieged cities are struggling for survival, among themselves, and the mutant horrors waiting outside. You are Artyom, born in the last days before the fire, but raised underground. You have never ventured beyond the confines of the subway station, a fateful event triggers a desperate mission in the heart of the subway system, to warn the remains of humanity of a terrible imminent threat. Your journey takes you from the forgotten catacombs under the subway to the deserted deserts above, where your actions will determine the fate of mankind. “
