MEXICO CITY
The Department of Foreign Relations (SRE) reported on the vaccination against Covid-19 in collaboration with the US health authorities for the Mexican community in that country, through the 50 consulates.
The State Department indicated that among the consulates that were the headquarters of coronavirus vaccination for citizens, those of the cities of Albuquerque, Atlanta, Boise, Chicago, Dallas, Denver, Douglas, Kansas City, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Miami, New Orleans, Omaha, Orlando, Raleigh, Sacramento, Saint Paul, Salt Lake City, San Jose, Houston, and Phoenix.
While the consulates general in Sacramento and San Diego are permanent vaccination sites.
For consulate personnel vaccinated, this was primarily in the cities of Chicago, Dallas, Denver, Douglas, Philadelphia, Kansas City, Laredo, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Miami, Milwaukee, Orlando, Phoenix, Saint Paul, San José, Tucson, and Washington .
VACCINATION OF PEAS
The SRE reported that, with the support of consulates in Los Angeles, Miami, Orlando and Saint Paul, farm workers have been vaccinated over the past week.
He also pointed out that next Saturday he will initiate a pilot program run by the Ontario Departments of Health and Agriculture to provide Mexicans enrolled in the Mexico-Canada Temporary Agricultural Workers Program (PTAT) to receive the COVID vaccine. 19 on arrival at Toronto Pearson International Airport.
According to the Secretariat, this program will remain in effect for the coming months, as part of Phase II of the Ontario Immunization Plan, which also includes people working in sectors considered essential.
Likewise, the vaccination processes have started in British Columbia and Quebec, with the participation of the consulates general in Vancouver and Montreal.
