“Stardew Valley” adds co-op to the couch in the biggest update to date

That being said, you don’t have to start a new save file to experience all that the update has to offer. There are new citizens to meet, additional items to collect and a new quest to complete. However, the biggest change is a new co-op mode that the sofa is based on Stardew Valley existing multiplayer functionality. It allows you to play on the same screen with three other people. You can start playing cooperatively by asking Robin Carpenter to build a cabin on your farm. There is also an option that allows cooperative play as soon as you start a new game.

Stardew Valley Content Update 1.5 is available for download on your computer today. According to developer Eric “ConceredApe” Barone, it will arrive on consoles early next year, with a launch on mobile devices that follows later – although there is still no definitive timeline for the latter. And if you’re new Stardew Valley, the game is currently with a 33% discount on Steam in honor of today’s update.
