Stardew Valley 1.5 is released today on Switch, PS4 and Xbox One

With split-screen cooperation, a new island to explore and load more content, this is “the biggest update so far”

After debuting on PC in December, Stardew Valley today released a substantial update to 1.5 content on consoles. If you’re a Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 or Xbox One player, today is the day. It’s huge.

Update 1.5 includes a lot of new things, like Willy’s boat, which you can repair and travel to Ginger Island, another tough dungeon to face new enemies, a new NPC to befriend, golden nuts to collect, the appearance of “beach farm”, a lot of new items and cars as well Geode Crusher, more fish to catch, additional furniture, other character events, the ability to move your bed and swimming ducks.

Especially for console gamers, local split-screen multiplayer is such an important feature. Call him hungry.

There are simply too many additions to justify the noise here at all (check the patch notes full of thumbnails when you’re ready), so these are the highlights. There wasn’t much waiting compared to the PC update sync, but I won’t lie: I was upset about the split-screen cooperation. My weekend plans are made.
