We do not consider selling the company or any part of its business, nor have we received any offers from any third party to acquire the company or any part of its business. “
While the idea of Square Enix being supported by one of the gaming giants may seem interesting at first, it’s probably best if it can remain independent. With Bethesda now being swallowed up by Microsoft, the likelihood of new studio games coming to the Switch and PlayStation is becoming less and less likely every day; if a studio remains independent, there is a much better chance that all players, regardless of their home systems, will enjoy new releases.
