Spring breaker found dead in hotel room warned of dangers

The Pennsylvania woman who was drugged, raped and found dead in a Miami Beach hotel room during spring break once warned of the dangers of predators – in a chilling online post warning others, “Always go with your gut.”

Christine Englehardt, 24, of Richboro, made the case for nearly two years before her body was found at the Albion Hotel in South Beach last week.

“Unfortunately, this is a dangerous world and you never know what someone’s true intentions are,” she wrote on Facebook in July 2019.

In the post, Englehardt described a disturbing encounter during a flight that prompted her to flag park employees for a suspicious vehicle.

“So if you ever feel in ANY way unsafe or feel like something is wrong, DO NOT hesitate to notify the police,” she wrote. Always deal with your gut. Please be wary of suspicious people or cars. “

Police have not revealed a cause of death, but they are investigating whether the pill that was delivered to her – which authorities suspect was the narcotic Percocet – led her to an overdose.
