Sources – Oklahoma City Thunder trade Hamidou Diallo with Detroit Pistons for second round pick Svi Mykhailiuk

The Oklahoma City Thunder have agreed to trade goalkeeper Hamidou Diallo at the Detroit Pistons for goalkeeper Svi Mykhailiuk and a selection from the second round of 2027, sources told ESPN on Friday.

The appearance of the second-year guard Lu Dort had made Diallo a consumable, especially considering he would be a restricted free agent this summer. The Pistons consider Diallo a future base player and intend to work to conclude him with a new deal in the off-season, sources said.

Pistons general manager Troy Weaver was a Thunder executive when Diallo was ranked 45th overall in the 2018 NBA Draft.

Diallo, 22, has averaged career highs in scores (11.9), comeback (5.2), assists (4.2) and minutes (23.8) this season for Thunder.

The 2027 second-round pick for Oklahoma City will be through the Houston Rockets, sources said.

Mykhailiuk, 23, is considered a better positional fit along the Thunder perimeter and will have the opportunity to make an impression with Oklahoma City before becoming a restricted free agent this summer.

He was the 47th overall pick for the Lakers in the 2018 draft, arriving in Detroit in the middle of his rookie season in a deal. This season he has an average of 6.9 points per game – and 6.6 for his career.
