Source – WR Curtis Samuel signs $ 34.5 million 3-year deal with Washington football team

Former Carolina Panthers receiver Curtis Samuel is signing a three-year, $ 34.5 million contract with the Washington football team, a source told ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

A preliminary pick in the second round of the Ohio State Panthers in 2017, Samuel finally met last season’s expectations under offensive coordinator Joe Brady, who took advantage of the rider’s ability to play receiver and run back, as he did it in college.

Samuel had the best 77 catches in his career for 851 meters and 41 catches for 200 meters, while Brady used the 24-year-old (August 11) as he planned to use the defender Christian McCaffrey, who missed 13 games with injuries.

Samuel’s most impressive statistic last season was the catch rate (79.4%) that drove all NFL receivers and was well ahead of his rate of 56.3% in the last three seasons. He also became one of the league’s leaders in catching the third for the first relegations.

In 53 career games, he has 185 receptions for 2,087 yards and 14 touchdown receptions and 478 yards and five touchdowns. Although injuries limited him to just 22 games in his first two seasons, he appeared in 31 of 32 games in the last two seasons.

ESPN’s David Newton contributed to this report.
