Source – RB Clyde Edwards-Helaire, Kansas City Chiefs, believed to have suffered a large ankle sprain

RB Clyde Edwards-Helaire, the Kansas City Chiefs rookie, suffered what is believed to be a raised ankle sprain and a tense hip during the Chiefs’ 32-29 win over the New Orleans Saints on Sunday, a source told Adam Schefter, of ESPN.

He expects to miss the rest of the regular season and the hope is that he will be able to return in the post-season, according to the source.

Edwards-Helaire was bent back as he was approached after a 4-meter run in the fourth quarter.

Le’Veon Bell, signed earlier this year in support of Edwards-Helaire, has had his busiest and most productive game since joining the Chiefs on Sunday. He transported 15 times for 62 meters and scored a touchdown of 12 meters after taking an option from defender Patrick Mahomes.
