Looks like Major League Baseball made the call
The announcement that Sony baseball simulator MLB Show coming to the Xbox Game Pass at launch was a bit of a surprise, to say the least. But Sony says the decision didn’t come from them.
Speaking to Inverse, a PlayStation representative said the decision to bring MLB Show 21 on several consoles and on the Game Pass, they came directly from MLB itself.
“As part of this year’s game goal, MLB has decided to bring the franchise to more baseball players and fans,” the spokesman for Inverse said. “This decision provides a unique opportunity for further establishment MLB Show as a premier brand for baseball video games. “
It was already a surprise in 2019, at the end of the year MLB ShowExclusivity has been announced. Now, the baseball simulation developed by Sony San Diego not only arrives on the Xbox on the same day, but also launches the Microsoft subscription games service.
