Apparently, Sony is going to bring PlayStation Now soon in several countries – including India. The service is only available in a handful of territories right now, but IGN India reports that coronavirus dropped its plans to expand the subscription in several countries last year. As the pandemic begins to gradually apply, the organization seeks to review the idea.
The stock, as has happened globally, is actually non-existent in India – but a report citing unnamed retailers suggests that the country’s biggest PlayStation issue could be price. It is claimed that future releases, such as Returnal and Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, have “double-digit” pre-order numbers, as Sony is priced at 5,000 rupees compared to 4,000 rupees for the PS4.
In response, the Japanese giant seeks to highlight initiatives such as PS Plus collection and Play at home, but it will be fascinating to see how things play out here. Virtually everyone is unhappy with the prices of PS5 software, but will it have a significant impact on the company’s outcome – especially at a time when there is a strong push for low-priced subscriptions?
