Sony announces the new Bravia TV line with AirPlay and HomeKit support

Before CES 2021, Sony announced its latest “human intelligence” TVs, HomeKit and AirPlay support.

The Sony Bravia XR range has several head features, including its unique XR cognitive processor. It boasts industry-leading machine learning (ML) and artificial intelligence (AI) to provide the best picture and sound for any given scene.

Apple users will enjoy it, as HomeKit and AirPlay are available for all three new TV series. Sony says users will need to run iOS 12.3 or later or macOS 10.14.5 or later to use these features.

Sony has officially announced three Bravia XR TVs, including the Master Series Z9J 8K LED, Master Series A90J / A80J OLED and Master Series X95J / X90J 4K LED. The main feature involves the XR cognitive processor that performs active audio and video analysis to provide the best entertainment in the class.

Other features include Google TV with “Hey Google” functionality, HDMI 2.1 compatibility, and specialized calibration modes for Netflix and IMAX videos. The retail price and availability will be announced in the spring of 2021.
