Some iPhone 12 models have lost the color of their aluminum chassis, according to a new report from Svetapple.sk, which includes photos of a PRODUCT (Red) PRODUCTiPhone 12) model that was visibly colored.

The iPhone 12 part next to the power button has faded to a shade of orange and there is a clear boundary in which the red color has been exhausted.
Svetapple.sk says that the iPhone was used in a transparent case, so the friction in one hand was not a factor, although it is not clear if the case itself could have caused the problem.
There have been similar reports of discoloration from iPhone 11 and iPhone SE 2 users.
