Texas players, coaches, members of the media and fans jumped on the game plan of Alabama offensive coordinator Steve Sarkisian in the national championship against Ohio State.
He brought an increased sense of enthusiasm to those involved in the Texas football program. Sarkisian was named head coach at the University of Texas on Jan. 2, and his introductory press conference in Austin is scheduled for Tuesday at 4 p.m. CST.
His offense was dominant and accurate on the biggest stage of college football, defeating Buckeyes 52-24 while recording 28 of those points in the second quarter. Sarkisian creatively created pieces to constantly get the ball in the hands of the most explosive players in the game.
It’s something Texas fans longed for under former head coach Tom Herman. Finally, it should happen to Sarkisian in charge, as he confirmed to the American state that he will call the plays in Texas for the foreseeable future.
Right now, how can you not be excited about Sarkisian’s potential in Texas? He inherits the fifth most talented list in the country, with a star running back in the background.
