The 2021 NBA All-Star Game will take place on Sunday, March 7, in Atlanta. But thanks to COVID-19, the value of a weekend’s events will be compressed into one night: the skill challenge and the 3-point contest will take place before the game, while the dunk contest will act as a show at the break.
The All-Star vote began on January 28, and the All-Star titles, determined by the fan vote (representing 50% of the vote), the media vote (25%) and the player vote (25%), were announced on January 18. The reserves, which are voted by NBA coaches, were announced on TNT on Tuesday.
After his thrilling All-Star debut last season in Chicago, “Elam Ending” will return. The captains will do the same, with Brook Durant of the Brooklyn Nets and LeBron James of the Los Angeles Lakers, the best winners of the fan votes at their respective conferences, choosing their opinions for the showdown at the State Farm Arena.
