Cecily Strong could have opened this weekend Saturday night live with a new solid impression of Marjorie Taylor Greene, but was lifted during the “Weekend Update” when Beck Bennett threw Mike Lindell.
Joining Colin Jost to talk about his exile on Twitter, after he continued to push conspiracy theories about fake election fraud, Lindell nearly gathered his MyPillow as he pushed back allegations that he had helped inspire insurgents in Chapter.
“Well, sit there, Buck, I didn’t inspire any insurrection, nobody!” Lindell said. “I’m just a former crack-addicted American, turned CEO and advisor to a former president.”
He also vowed not to meet with Trump on “martial law” earlier this month. “I just suggested that the military overthrow the government,” he said. “And if that’s not democracy, I don’t know what it is!”
From there, Lindell admitted to receiving all the best political ideas from MyPillow. “What’s this, MyPillow?” he asked. “Really? Wow! MyPillow said Dominion has overtaken the voting machine algorithms so China can trade him for Biden, along with Hugo Chavez, Kim Jong-un and Chrissy Teigen!”
He concluded the passage by reading an unknown passage from his memoirs, “What are the odds? From Crack Addict to CEO ”before shouting at Jost,“ My brain is on fire ”and then, of course,“ Jane Krakowski is obsessed with me! ”
It was the most insane hilarious moment of the episode – until Bowen Yang and Kyle Mooney appeared as Fran Lebowitz and Martin Scorsese.
