Sixers’ big man, Dwight Howard, was eliminated from the game against the Lakers

The Philadelphia 76ers entered the Staples Center on Thursday against the Los Angeles Lakers. They did not have Joel Embiid, who is still out with the bone injury, and they also did not have Tony Bradley or Vincent Poirier who were sent to trade with George Hill.

That meant veteran Dwight Howard was the only real man on the list. The Sixers put Mike Scott in the center in an effort to keep Howard in his usual role as the bench, but Howard hurt Philadelphia a little earlier.

Howard got into it with Lakers man Montrezl Harrell in the first quarter, and once the quarter was over, Howard hit Harrell and that was it. The 17-year-old veteran was hit with another technical foul and was sent off for basketball.

Now that Howard is gone, the only other real man on the list is rookie Paul Reed, who is just six feet away. Sixers also has Simmons, who is 6-feet-10, so Philadelphia will probably use him in the middle at some point in this game.
