Side effects of COVID-19 cause Advocate Condell Medical Center to temporarily discontinue vaccinations; vaccinations at other sites in Illinois, Wisconsin continue

LIBERTYVILLE, Illinois (WLS) – Condell Medical Advocate Center in Libertyville has stopped COVID-19 vaccinations after some health workers reported reactions to the blows.

Four employees experienced side effects – including tingling and increased heart rate – shortly after vaccination, according to a statement from Aurora Health’s lawyer.

“These four team members represent less than 0.15% of the approximately 3,000 who have received vaccinations with Aurora Health’s lawyer so far. At this time, we can share three team members who are at home and doing well, and one receives additional treatment, “Aurora Health’s lawyer said in a statement.

Three of the workers are doing well at home, and a fourth is receiving additional treatment.

While the reactions are an expected side effect, Advocate said the break will allow them to better understand what could have caused the reactions.

Vaccinations at the other eight Advocate Aurora Health locations in Illinois, as well as at the three locations in Wisconsin, continue without delay, according to the statement.
