Oscar-winning actress Shirley MacLaine enjoyed a classic Martini at lunch while dining outdoors at Kristy’s Village Cafe in Malibu on Friday.

While tossing Old Hollywood glamor with her drink of choice, the 86-year-old star took time sipping her cocktail while talking to her nurse.

MacLaine’s outing to the beachfront restaurant comes just weeks after Los Angeles reopened the open-air table amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

While enjoying the warm weather, MacLaine wore a light green sweater, a pair of oversized black shades, and a white visor that read, “Malibu.”

The former main lady, who won five Golden Globe awards during her legendary career, completed her outfit with brown moccasins.

In November, she accredited the longevity of her six-decade career, plus her career in her discipline, resulting from her childhood ballet training.

“Even if I tell people the truth, I’m not a diva. That comes from my 3-year ballet training, ‘she told Variety.

MacLaine continued: “I have to go back to that and just hard, honest work, with a lot of art, if you can get it, thrown away. I also stayed in business and never thought about giving up because I wanted to pay for plane tickets to travel. ‘

After the surprise break in 1954, as a substitute for Broadway’s Pajama, Shirley made her big-screen debut in The Trouble with Harry, where she connected with director Alfred Hitchcock.

He wouldn’t eat a meal without me. I won £ 25 on that film and got a call from Frank Freeman, who was the head of Paramount at the time, and he said, “Should we break your contract? Are you going to stop eating? MacLaine (born MacLean Beaty) recalled.

“I was talking and he was telling me stories and he was becoming very sophisticated and cynical. And I’d think it’s funny and he’d be glad I got it … I was only 18 years old. I was happy to be in his company, because he was very funny and he liked to test everyone’s receptivity to cynicism. I realize now.

And while the Noelle actress called Jack Lemmon “a great friend” whom she “adored,” she wasn’t as excited to work with their director twice Billy Wilder (The Apartment, Irma la Douce ).

“I liked it, but I wouldn’t put him at the forefront of women’s liberation,” Shirley said.

MacLaine was known as the only woman to pack rats, calling Dean Martin “spontaneously funny” and Frank Sinatra “talented.”

“She was born with him, but she was lonely as a child and went to music as her best friend,” said Warren Beatty’s older sister about Sinatra.

The Emmy winner also revealed that she has three films in line – including Brad Furman’s People Are No Places and Armand Kachigian’s Granite People – which were stopped due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Shirley recently appeared in one of three episodes of Grammy Award nominee Rufus Wainwright Road Trip Elegies: Montreal to New York, which was released three months ago on Audible.
