Shelters do not allow migrants to the border of Mexico and Guatemala

Small groups Honduran migrants arrived in the last hours on the border between Mexico and Guatemala, after the armed forces of the Civil National Police and to Guatemalan Army to try to enter Mexican territory.

In the town of Tecún Umán, Guatemala, we see dozens of migrants resting in groups, others wandering, and some more seeking help to gather food to help them stay on Guatemalan territory.

Three days ago Honduran migrants surrounded the checkpoints of the Government of Guatemala and since then they have come to shelters or shelters in search of refuge; but they are not accepted. They only provide them with food, water and a cleaning kit.

Mexican reinforcement

The border is guarded by 800 officers from the Secretary of the Navy, National Guard and Army.
