Sharon Osbourne allegedly demanded a payment of tens of millions to leave her co-host job at The Talk, amid allegations that she made racist remarks.
The CBS daytime chat show is on hiatus until at least March 29, while network leaders are investigating claims against Osbourne, which she firmly denies.
The controversy began with an air debate in which Osbourne defended his friend Piers Morgan’s criticism of Meghan Markle. Now, a confidant claims that Osbourne will strictly apply the contractual provisions if she is forced to leave the show.
“She has a contract and they will have to pay her if they want to leave and it will cost her tens of millions,” a person close to Osbourne told The Sun. “If the bosses expect her to go quietly, she has to come.”

Since then, a series of accusations about Osbourne’s behavior have darkened his future with the show.
One of the allegations investigated by CBS is whether or not Osbourne called former co-host Julie Chen a “wonton,” an accusation that Osbourne says is “crap.”
