Several people are eligible for the COVID-19 vaccine in Clark County starting tomorrow

LAS VEGAS (KTNV) – Starting March 2, vaccine eligibility in Clark County will be extended to all Frontline Community Support and Frontline Supply Chain & Logistics groups.

In addition to people in these occupational categories, the groups currently eligible to receive the vaccine include people aged 65 and over, health workers and those in the public safety group. Eligible groups now include:

First-line community assistance

  • Essential public transport

Frontline Supply Chain and Logistics

  • Agriculture and food processing
  • End-to-end supply chain of essential goods (includes manufacture, transport, distribution and sale of essential goods)
  • Utilities and communications infrastructure
  • Nevada Department of Transportation and local emergency road personnel
  • Airport operations on the first line
  • Other essential transports

First-dose schedules are available in the Southern Nevada Health District and partner locations, including the Cashman Center and Las Vegas Convention Center. The Cashman Center Clinic is located in Exhibit B, 850 N. Las Vegas Blvd. The Convention Center Clinic site is located in Area C-1 of the facility’s central room. Dedicated parking is available in the Silver Lot on Paradise Road and Convention Center Drive. Both sites are open Tuesday through Saturday. A state-run call center is available to answer questions and help those who may need help making appointments. The call center is open seven days a week from 08:00 to 20:00 at 1-800-401-0946. The health district also continues to urge people to cancel appointments if they have done more. In addition to the call center, people can email [email protected] for assistance in canceling appointments.

Schedules for the second dose are available to people who have been vaccinated at a health district or partner clinic and received the Pfizer vaccine at least 21 days before or the Moderna vaccine at least 28 days before. The first dose of vaccine begins to build protection against the virus that causes COVID-19. The second dose is needed to get the most protection the vaccine can provide.
