Serena Williams turns her head in a unique one-legged suit during her first victory at the Australian Open

Serena Williams showed no signs of a shoulder injury as she entered the second round of the Australian Open, beating German Laura Siegemund.

Wearing a brightly colored one-legged suit on Rod Laver Arena, the seven-time champion lost the opening game, but then took Siegemund 6-1 6-1 in less than an hour.

The 10-year-old, ranked 10th, withdrew from a semi-final of the preliminary tournament against Ash Barty citing injury, but did not appear to be hindered in the unilateral deal.

Watching the 24th edition of the Grand Slam title, Williams will face Nina Stojanovic, who defeated the Romanian Irina-Camelia Begu in straight sets.

Williams defeated 16 winners of Siegemund’s four, the world number 49 being unable to find any way to stop the attack.

The attractive outfit caused a stir on social networks, tennis fans being divided in the bold choice.

“Serena Williams just casually revealed a one-legged jumpsuit,” wrote a tennis fan.

“While all the other suckers are wearing the same Nike uniform, Serena goes to order,” added another.

Others were not so sure of their attire.
