Serena Williams, one of the greatest tennis players in history, opened the doors of her 1,500-square-meter mansion in Florida, and showed the striking details of the property designed by his sister Venus, owner of V Starr. The former No. 1 has decided to tackle a new project with sea views and impressive views in an exclusive neighborhood north of Miami.
The result of the mansion corresponds to five years of design work. To name a few of the luxuries of the property, say it has underfloor heating, a sauna, a wine cellar or a trophy room, where the 23 Grand Slam titles won by the tennis player rest. Olympia’s room, Serena’s daughter, has a handcrafted castle-shaped bed with a built-in slide.
Moving to this mansion was the first time she was separated from her sister. “I was moving away from Venus for the first time in my life, so I wanted a house with a lot of meaning,” he explains. “You have to know what you’re good at. I’m very good at tennis, but not so good at interior decoration. I learned a lot just by watching him do it. Venus“.
Venus explained that it must have made a 180-degree turn during the remodeling process. The acquired house had a Spanish Mediterranean style, a style far removed from his tastes: “We face art and technology to mark a more modern and minimalist aesthetic,” he explained.
The mansion does not have a tennis court, but behind a secret door disguised as a shelf, there is a singing hall. It has a stage, a velvet chair, bar tables and a neon sign that reads “Srnade”, a playful tribute to Serena’s artistic hobby. According to the sisters, that room is reserved exclusively for “serious karaoke singers”.
