Serena Williams and her “crazy and super intense” quarantine

Women’s tennis icon Serena Williams was interviewed at The late show with Stephen Colbert and described Australia’s strict quarantine as “crazy and super intense”, but approved it without regard.

Williams, 39, is about to end his 14-day prison term and go to court to face Naomi Osaka in an exhibition match in Adelaide on Friday.

“Australia, from the last hearings, zero cases of COVID. So it’s incredible. It’s really amazing,” he said before the first consultation.

Williams lived in a hotel in Adelaide with her three-year-old daughter, Olympia. “It’s certainly hard to always be around a three-year-old girl every day, but it’s worth it because you want everyone to be safe at the end of the day.

The American hopes to match Australia’s Margaret Court record of 24 Grand Slam titles with another victory in Melbourne. It’s all you expect after the quarantine is over. It’s everything you dream of.
