Artist Daniel Cortes (@Dannycortoons) completed a detailed project to describe the entire list of Super Smash Bros. last in an aesthetic reminiscent of 1930s animation, probably better known as the “Rubber Hose” style and recently popularized by the Studio MDHR platformer Cuphead.
“After months and over 120 characters, here’s every #SmashBrosUltimate character in a style inspired by #Cuphead #Rubberhose # 1930Cartoon! Everyone is here!” Cortes announced on Twitter. “Thank you guys for your support throughout this project, I look forward to sharing more in the future!”
The incredible image features over 100 characters, representing the entire list of Nintendo’s popular battle title, including alternate skins and Mii cosplay characters. From Mario to Jigglypuff, Sans to Solid Snake, Joker to Wii Fit Trainer, “Everyone is Here” in this colorful and lively banner – a real who’s who game.
Cortes mentioned that he will update his work with Super Smash Bros. lastThe two remaining DLC characters will eventually be revealed. In the meantime, enjoy choosing your favorite characters in the full picture. Everyone looks fantastic, but I think Wendy O. is my favorite here … or Fox McCloud … or Bayonetta … Or …
