Scotty Pippen Jr. pleads for NBA draft, could return to Vanderbilt

Scotty Pippen Jr., the guardian of Vanderbilt’s second student, has declared for the NBA project in 2021, but will maintain his eligibility for college, he announced on social media on Saturday.

Pippen, the son of the Chicago Bulls Hall of Famer, led the scorers in scoring (20.8 points per game), assists (4.9 points per game) and thefts (1.8 points per game) last season.

“We all have dreams and I’m ready to follow mine,” Pippen wrote on Twitter.

Pippen is not among the top 100 ESPN players in the 202-man NBA draft class. He has until July 19 to withdraw his name from the draft.
