Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World: The Game is a good example of software that has suffered because it was an exclusively digital version. Back on the PlayStation 3, the title was removed from sale after the license expired, which means you couldn’t buy it for several years. The good news is that it will be back on the PS4 in a few days, but if you want to make sure you always have access, Run Limited has a few options for you.
Although, of course, you will be able to browse the digital game from the PS Store, the company mentioned above has created not one, not two, but three physical editions of the fan favorite.
The standard edition comes with exclusive reversible artwork – one part is a brilliant Sonic Adventure-esque illustration from Scott Pilgrim artist Bryan Lee O’Malley himself. It also includes a ticket to the Clash at Demonhead concert and a color instruction booklet (remember?). Sold for $ 34.99.
The classic edition follows. Includes everything in the standard version, plus a Mega Drive-style game case (also with reversible artwork), a set of stickers, a physical CD soundtrack and a world map over the world. This edition will bring you back $ 54.99.
Finally, we have the KO edition. This final version of the game gives you everything in the classic edition, plus a hard-shell housing box “with working lights and sound”, a paper guide card, CD and cassette soundtrack, wooden drums, a trio of Sex Bob-omb guitar parts, an email pin and trading cards. It is obviously the most expensive in the lot, priced at $ 139.99.
All three editions are ready for pre-order in one week, on January 15, 2021 at 10am EST (7am PST or 3pm GMT). You will have six weeks to secure your purchase.
