A mother remained hospitalized after suffering a severe reaction to her hair dye, which left her scalp covered with blisters and her eyes swollen.
Leonie Dee, 27, wanted to dye her hair using two different shades, using Schwarzkopf Live in “Cosmic Blue” and “Ultra Violet”, costing £ 4.79 each.
The mother of four says she has performed a patch test for both products according to the instructions to make sure she will not have an adverse reaction.

“But the paint was already absorbed into the skin of my head, so there was nothing to do but wait for the swelling and blisters to subside.
“I definitely never dye my hair again – I’ll let it grow and then let it go.”
Leonie said she used to dye her hair regularly as a teenager, but after having children – now 11, 10, three and six months old – she discovered that “she can’t be bothered” and hadn’t painted it in seven years.
