Sandy Carriello, a member of the iconic musical duo “Sandy & Papo”, died in New York on Wednesday at the age of 48, apparently due to a heart attack.

His death was reported by local and international media, which did not detail the cause of his death or reveal where his funeral will be.

Carriello, whose stage name was Sandy MC, became famous in Latin America for his success in the popular merengue house and hip hop group, formed with his friend Luis Deschamps, Papo MC, who died in an accident. of the car in 1999.

Sandy & Papo managed to release their first album in October 1995, recalls the Dominican press El Nuevo Diario.
