Samsung reaches a new minimum level, selling the lowest number of smartphones in almost a decade

Samsung this year could have reached the lowest deliveries in the last ten years, according to reports from South Korea. Apparently, the mobile phone manufacturer has delivered less than 300 million devices, GizChina reports. A large part of the credit is given to the pandemic here as well. Reports say that Samsung’s total deliveries by the end of the third quarter was about 189.4 million units, and the total shipment for the year was about 270 million.

Although these figures are certainly low, it could be the same with other phone brands, as the pandemic has affected almost every brand and business.

But that doesn’t stop the Korean smartphone maker from returning in 2021. The company is said to bring more 5G smartphones next year. It will also focus heavily on foldable phones at an “affordable” price. “Affordable” in this case most likely refers to the price of foldables ranging from $ 1,300 to $ 2,000 right now.

TM Roh, president of Samsung Mobile, recently dropped a lot of clues on Samsung’s roadmap. According to what we know, Samsung will launch the Samsung Galaxy S21 series at this event in January. Interestingly, Roh also suggested that S Pen support will reach more of their smartphones and that Samsung intends to expand its arsenal of foldable phones with “less expensive” options.

This could also mean that, according to rumors, the Note range could end soon, at least as a premium flagship from the Samsung range. But a separate report says the Note phone line will continue in 2021.
