The future Samsung 2021 foldable smartphone is expected to be launched in a few months, and a new report claims today that these will be the first such devices to have an official IP rating for water and dust resistance.
We are talking about Galaxy Z Fold3 and Galaxy Z Flip2 (or Flip3, because sometimes it was rumored that Samsung would skip the number “2” to fit the Flip generation with the Fold).
It is not yet known exactly what specific IP rating the duo will get, but there will be one – at least if this rumor, apparently based on “whispers of known people”, goes out.
It is possible that the two devices will become official in July and it seems that they are the only leaflets that the Korean company intends to launch this year. It has been rumored that Fold3 has support for the S Pen, but without a built-in place to hide it (so it’s similar to the Galaxy S21 Ultra in this regard, not any of the Galaxy Note).
