Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 may have a stronger frame, but lighter than its predecessor

The future Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 could be more durable than its predecessor, a report suggests Let’s go digital.

The assumption is based on recent trademark filings. The company has applied for a trademark for “Armor Frame” in South Korea, Europe and USA, and the publication believes that it could have something to do with the Galaxy Z Fold 3 chassis.
According to previous reports, the device may have a UTG (ultra-thin glass) thicker than Fold 2. This is because the phone is expected to support S Pen and its screen needs to be more robust.

The application for Armor Frame brands is thin in detail, and its short description only indicates that it is a new type of smartphone frame. Samsung’s latest flagship phones come with a metal and aluminum body. Aluminum frames are getting weaker over time and this could be why the South Korean company is considering a new material for its foldable phones.

It is not known what Armor Frame is made of, but Let’s go digital speculates that it could be a military-grade material or it could be made of carbon or titanium, both of which are lighter and stiffer than aluminum, but more expensive.

Samsung applied for the trademark on April 13.

The company usually registers trademarks a few months before launching related products. For example, it registered the trademark UTG three months before OG Z Flip was announced.
It is unclear whether the future Z Flip 3, which rumors say will be presented in July, along with Z Fold 3, will also include Armor Frame, but it is unlikely, given its price point.

On other recent rumors about Z Fold 3 …

An industry expert has suggested that the device is unlikely to feature Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 and Exynos 2100 and that its chipset is a top secret, which has raised the possibility that it will mark the debut of the first Samsung The AMD-based Exynos process.
