We still hear about the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3, but another rumor suggests that there is a new foldable Samsung on the horizon: a triple tablet, which could be released immediately next year.
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold Tab, as the device is called, assumes that it has two hinges and three folding segments, such as some of the concepts we saw as TCLZ-shaped model. The supposed Samsung model is specifically called a tablet, so it’s unclear if this is a device that folds small enough to fit a shape factor of the phone and would have mobile connectivity to function as a receiver.
The information was first reported by GizmoChina by tipster Yogesh, which did not provide too many other details about the Samsung Z Fold Tab, except that it will have an ultra-thin glass (UTG) better than the current generation displays on the Galaxy Z Flip and Z Fold 2. We could see this UTG more first on Z Fold 3 before the Z Fold tab. Likewise, the foldable tablet will assume that it will support a Bluetooth version of the S Pen that will arrive first with Z Fold 3.

According to Yogesh, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold Tab could be teased at the launch of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 and / or Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 launch event, supposed to be in August 2021, before being finally released in the first quarter of of the year 2022.
Samsung’s foldable future
As always, take this leak with a grain of salt, especially with an unknown tipster and a product I haven’t heard of yet.
But flexible displays are certainly a niche in which phone makers continue to invest, including Samsung, which launched the first mainstream multi-market foldable with the original Samsung Galaxy Fold and looks set to announce the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 soon, since you hear so much about it (it can be called Z Fold 3 over over Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3, will not have an S Pen slot and so on).
And with rolling stock expected to hit the mainstream market in the next year or two, according at TCL, new devices in unique form factors such as TCL Fold ‘n Roll will continue to come out. In this light, it seems that a large foldable tablet with several joints, such as the Samsung Z Fold Tab, does not seem too exaggerated.
