CLEVELAND – Cleveland Browns wide receiver Ryan Switzer has said his 9-month-old son is stable after undergoing surgery to stop the bleeding.
Switzer reported on his son Christian’s medical condition over the weekend on Twitter, prompting a flood of public support.
Switzer most recent post on Sunday he came after the operation and said his son was “resting.”

On Saturday, Switzer said his son “woke up in the blood” and tested positive for COVID-19. He said doctors were trying to determine the cause of the bleeding.
In his latest update, Switzer said a gastrointestinal specialist “found several bleeding sites” and that biopsy samples were sent.
Switzer, 26, spent last season on the Cleveland training team. He was recruited by Dallas in 2017 and spent two years with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Switzer initially contacted his Twitter followers asking for prayers for his son, who he said needed three blood transfusions on Saturday due to low hemoglobin levels.
Switzer said he and his wife, Gabie, were “overwhelmed by the amount of people who reached out to Christian.”
