Russian troops appear positioned near the border with Ukraine as tensions rise

A two-minute excerpt from the “ready to fight” video appears to show Russian troops maneuvering tanks in position near Ukraine’s border as tensions between neighboring nations flare up.

The video, apparently recorded by Russian soldiers, captures a group of armored vehicles that gather in a muddy field, then switches to show an assortment of military trucks that have been loaded into a long-distance train, reports The Sun.

A short scene labeled “military training” shows a large piece of crane-like car behind a corrugated metal fence.

The Biden administration said this week that the US could send warships to the Black Sea in the coming weeks to counter Russia’s growing military presence on Ukraine’s border.

Russia’s annexation of the Ukraine region of Crimea in 2014 led to the imposition of US and European Union sanctions and triggered the ongoing conflict.

Ukrainian officials say fighting there has killed 14,000 people.
