Rumor: The latest switching firmware update has apparently added Bluetooth audio support

The recent update of the Nintendo Switch 12.0.0 firmware may not seem too much based on the official patch notes, but, according to data analysts, there is much more interesting information on its backend.

Following yesterday’s findings – suggesting that a “new” switching dock may be on the way, it is assumed that it has now been discovered that this latest update has added audio support to the system’s Bluetooth driver.

This information was again shared by the well-known data programmer Nintendo OatmealDome:

As OatmealDome went on to say, Bluetooth sound has been a “highly sought after feature” on the Nintendo Switch, and Bluetooth headsets are becoming more common. .

To combat the lack of support for wireless headphones, over the years we’ve seen a bunch of third-party companies launch dongles that attach directly to the Switch.

So what do you think? Sounds too good to be true, or do you think Nintendo could eventually make Bluetooth audio devices compatible with the Switch? Share your thoughts below.
