Jairzinho Rozenstruik is unhappy with Saturday’s loss to Ciryl Gane at UFC Fight Night 186.
Rozenstruik (11-2 MMA, 5-2 UFC) was drawn to a unanimous decision by Gane (8-0 MMA, 5-0 UFC) in their head of heavy search, which took place at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas . He did not produce a single winning round on any of the scorecards and scored only 42 significant hits in 25 minutes.
A hesitation to pull the trigger with his offense proved problematic for Rozenstruik and cost him an important moment in his career. He is equally aware and, in his first post-fight statement, admitted that he missed the ball.
“I just fought and the fight didn’t go my way,” Rozenstruik said Twitter. “I think it’s my worst performance, if you ask me. I’m hard on myself. I think I realize that. ”
There is only one proven way to recover from a disappointing loss and to move on. Rozenstruik said he is already doing this and is focused on returning to the gym to solve the problems that have plagued him in the octagon.
Rozenstruik said he doesn’t know when or against whom he will continue to fight, but for now he has given Gane credit for being the best man in the UFC Fight Night 186.
“I will return home and give my ass for my next fight,” Rozenstruik said. “I do not know who this will be. Respect for Ciryl. He won the fight.
