Who will mourn Quibi’s name? Who will take quick bites from the tree of pain and cry for it all Murder houses howeverFlipped? Sorry, friends: The food cannons were silenced; Chrissy’s Court it is closed. The golden arm lost its luster, Isolated he went on his way Isolated, and Survive simply… not. Quibi is dead. which he lost everything. Si now, he even lost his name.

Which means: Roku, having decided to take advantage of the vast Quibi library after the phone-based streaming service bit him hard last year, he decided to change his new brand and numerous bite-sized acquisitions for their revival in 2021. There are no more “quick bites”, the various Quibi properties will be soon available on the Roku advertising channel it will now be called “Roku Originals”, which will definitely solve the problem. (Certainly, broadcasting a group of content specifically shot to be broadcast on phones on your home TV won’t seem strange.)

But while we made fun of Quibi for a few things throughout his short life – it’s bad name, it’s bad concept, his apparent belief that all the problems could be solved by throwing piles of cash at Jeffrey Katzenberg – the fact is that he gave a lot of people a lot of money to do his job and that the acquisition of Roku will mean that at least a dozen show that never broadcast on the service streaming will not have a chance to broadcast. In addition, hey: Reno 911! I can’t say no to my beloved Roku Original Reno 911!, right?
