Robert Dante Siboldi, Xolos’ new coach; in 15 days he will face Cruz Azul

The Tijuana team announced Siboldi as their new coach, after dismissing Pablo Guede in Guard1anes 2021

Robert Dante Siboldi returns to the benches to lead Tijuana in the absence of two days before the end of the regular phase of Guard1anes Closing 2021. Xolos welcomed the Uruguayan strategist on Monday on his social networks, after Pablo Guede left the border team.

“Welcome to your new home @LosSiboldis! Defend yourself with all Mictlan! ”, Tijuana wrote on their social networks, where they reported the arrival of the new strategist.

Xolos will be the fourth team that Siboldi leads in the First Division of Mexican football, where he started on Santos bench, between Apertura 2015 and Apertura 2018, when he won a championship in the MX League.

He later went to Veracruz, a team in which he directed only 14 commitments in the 2019 Clausura.

Cruz Azul had been his last team coach. With the Car he was between Apertura 2019 and Guard1anes Apertura 2020, a tournament in which he was eliminated in the semifinals by Pumas, after passing 4-0 on the scoreboard, a result that cost him the exit of the Noria team.

On the other hand, Tijuana is in the fifteenth position with 16 units, the product of three wins, three draws and nine losses, still with aspirations to reach the top 12 to reach the playoffs.

Siboldi manages to replace Pablo Guede, who led Xolos until the 14th, when the border guards let go 2-0 in front of Mazatlán, a team that ended up winning 2-3 with both in the last minute .

The Uruguayan’s debut on the Tijuana bench will be next Friday against Necaxa at the Caliente stadium, while Robert will return to the Azteca stadium to face Cruz Azul on the last day of the regular phase of the tournament.
