Robbery owns the TV reporter, the team while filming in Ecuador

A TV reporter and his team were robbed while filming in Ecuador – with their footage capturing the shocking moment, the armed robber aimed a weapon at them.

Football reporter Diego Ordinola common video of the brass throwing a brass weapon that is thrown on Friday afternoon while the DirecTV Sports team was filming in front of the Estadio Monumental in Tarqui, Guayaquil.

“Phone!” shouted the armed robber, pointing a gun at Ordinola and sliding the microphone he was using.

The thief, wearing a shirt and a hat with his face covered by a mask, then raised his weapon to the camera operator, before grabbing a phone call from someone just to the right of the photo.

The DirecTV Sports camera rolled throughout the robbery and, after following him after a break, filmed him being chased on the back of a motorcycle.

“We can’t even work alone,” Ordinola wrote as he shared the video, saying police “promised to find these criminals.”

His post was flooded with good wishes, as well as a number of people who used the footage to identify a possible number plate for the motorcycle used for the escape. It was not immediately clear whether there were any arrests or known suspects.

One tracking message thanking the followers for their “messages of solidarity,” Ordinola wrote, “Let us unite to eradicate crime in Ecuador.”
