Miriam’s theme
Editor 505 Games and developer ArtPlay have shared some more images from the “Classic Mode” input, which is heading towards the adventure of the gothic platform Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night next month.
Classic mode will see Miriam take over Hellhold and his ministry of darkness in the old school 2D platform action, very similar to the fine Castlevania SNES era titles. Fans of these games will immediately recognize the style of play in the tweet below, with images of Miriam climbing stairs, jumping precipices, breaking chandeliers and taking an army of monsters armed with a deadly whip. Simon would be very proud indeed.
Classic mode is part of a selection of free DLC additions released for Blood-stained: The ritual of the night since its initial launch in 2019. Igarashi’s crowdfunded adventure has since received alternate protagonists, Randomizer and Boss Revenge modes, as well as a mobile port. More content is expected in 2021, including additional stability updates for the Nintendo Switch edition.
The classic mode brings back the old game as you fight through five levels of demons and challenge Gebel’s mortal bosses.
