Resident Evil 9 Looks like it’s already under development

While Resident Evil Village will not be released until May, it looks like Capcom could already be working on the next installment of the survival-horror franchise. That rumor comes from @ AestheticGamer1, which also goes with “Dusk Golem”. Leaker discussed Capcom’s current progress in the game, but was careful to point out that it is not expected to appear before 2024. The Resident Evil franchise is easily one of the most important Capcoms, so it doesn’t seem unlikely. With the deactivation of the current project development, it only makes sense that the publisher could look to the future!

The original tweet from @ AestheticGamer1 can be found embedded below.

For those unfamiliar with @ AestheticGamer1, he was one of the most prominent voices regarding the resumption of the Silent Hill rumor. It remains to be seen whether or not these rumors will prove to be correct, but they have gained a lot of steam in recent months, giving some credence to its initial reporting. @ AestheticGamer1 has previously indicated that he is a game developer, which seems to have become known for inside information on titles like these. However, readers should take these rumors with a grain of salt.

Of course, it will probably be some time before fans know if the ninth Resident Evil is in production or not! Publishers tend to keep this kind of information secret until they are ready to make an official revelation, and according to @ AestheticGamer1’s own reports, we are still a few years away from it. Looks like we’ll see more Resident Evil content between releases Resident Evil Village and the next series entry, possibly in the form of another remake. Regardless, with Resident Evil Village and the live-action movie restarts on both this year, it seems there has never been a better time for fans of the series!
