Replacing the free agent departures of packers with potential draw choices

Kyle Terada-USA TODAY Sports

An All-Pro in 2020 and the Packers’ starting center for the past seven seasons, Linsley will be the hardest player to replace on the team in 2021. He has signed a lucrative contract with the Los Angeles Chargers. There are some interesting inside options, including Elgton Jenkins and Lucas Patrick, but the Packers should have more potential prospects to consider in the project class. In fact, some may be beginners in the right situation.

Player profile: Starting caliber center with an above-average skill set in step protection, well-refined football intelligence before pressing and the ability to move and create second-level alleys in the running game in the area.

Potential options

Creed Humphrey, Oklahoma
Landon Dickerson, Alabama
Quinn Meinerz, Wisconsin-Whitewater
Drew Dalman, Stanford
Josh Meyers, Ohio
Drake Jackson, Kentucky
Michal Menet, Penn State
Jimmy Morrissey, Pitt
