The game was played on PlayStation 5 before this point, but the native console support had not been implemented. This means that PS5 Genshin Impact players will see “improved images and game performance” at launch. As for the content of update 1.5, it will go into the “story of Liyue with Zhongli” and introduce new playable characters called Eula and Yanfei. Eula is a five-star character wielding a claymore, and Yanfei is a four-star Pyro wielding a catalyst.
New enemies will also be brought to the game with the 1.5 update and will provide players with resources, such as Character Leveling Materials, to defeat them. Players will also be able to set up and decorate their own personal realm, which is located “inside a special teapot”. Co-Op Championship EXP will also be boosted and it will be easier to claim the first three Trounce Domain rewards weekly.
If you want to get into Genshin Impact before the PS5 release, check out our review of the game. I scored a 9, calling it an “anime-zing adventure.”
