Marco Asensio was disappointed to be on the losing side as real Madrid fell to Athletic Club in the Spanish Super Cup semifinal on Thursday.
Asensio was the biggest threat to Los Blancos during the night, but his efforts were not enough to save a result after the Basques took a two-goal lead in the first half.
“They started very well and it was hard for us at the beginning”, Asensio said after the game.
“It simply came to our notice then.
“We are sad and upset, but this is football and we have to keep going.”
The Spaniard thinks that AthleticThe opening allowed them to grow in the game, which put real Madrid on the back leg.
